• They had originally planned to use Galaxie Sedans for the chase, but these were found to be too heavy for the jumps in San Francisco
• They then tried Dodge Chargers, but found that the suspension was unable to cope with the jumps
• The chase scene is one of the longest car chases in American film history, lasting just shy of 10 minutes.
