And what do you need to know before starting the installation process? Read on for all you need to know about the 5 key steps into creating a custom wallpaper for your home or workspace.

 

Step 1: Deciding the artwork/design for your space

The first step in creating a custom wallpaper is deciding what kind of artwork or design you want for your space. We offer over 1000 designs that can be chosen from which are categorized to help make selection easier! These range from our mesmerising space wallpapers all the way through escaping real life with our beach wallpaper murals.

Step 2: Measurements

The second step is to take measurements of the wall or walls you want to cover. All wallpaper murals are custom printed into manageable panels ready to hang along with a user guide to help you along the way. The panel sizes are based on the width and height of your wall and every panel has a number indicating the order in which it should be hung.

Each panel overlaps the previous panel by approx. 5mm. This is to ensure that each panel lines up perfectly with the previous one.

Step 3: Cropping the image

The third step is to crop the artwork down to the size you have selected. It may mean that we are unable to fit the entire artwork down to the size you have selected but not to worry - with our easy to use tool you are able to check and move the image preview to your preferred crop.

Did we mention that we also allow you to convert the image to black and white and allow you to flip the image so that it is printed in reverse?

Step 4: Choosing your wallpaper type

Our fourth step is to choose the wallpaper type that best suits your needs. We offer three different types of wallpaper -- Pre-Pasted, Paste the Wall and Peel & Stick.

Paste the wall is the most popular choice of wallpaper, a smooth, matt non-woven wallpaper that gives great depth of colour and enhances both rich and vibrant tones. A high quality and easy to work with wallpaper. Supplied with wallpaper paste

Pre-pasted is a smooth, matt non-woven wallpaper that gives great depth of colour and enhances both rich and vibrant tones. A high quality and easy to work with wallpaper. Immersing the wallpaper in water activates the dry pre-pasted glue making it the same consistency as standard wallpaper paste.

Peel and stick is a polyester wallpaper fabric with a removable glue back that is ideal for bespoke wallpaper. The high opacity coating greatly reduces show-through from coloured backgrounds. It can be removed and repositioned without damaging the wall and leaves no residue. Will not rip or wrinkle and is waterproof.

Step 5: Ordering your custom wallpaper

Once you have chosen the design, taken measurements, cropped the image and selected the type of wallpaper, it is time to order your custom wallpaper! We will print your wallpaper onto the selected substrate and ship it out to you in easy-to-hang panels.
